Recent results shows that we continue to show steady progress with good performances from numerous players.

Reinier Bijloos and Tom De Grooth at Hermes. The pups in the field and Tom, Mark and Bart with the bat against HBS in the 20/20 competition. The match over the weekend saw Reinier Bijloos grab 4 wickets and Tom leading from the front with the bat again. Mark Jonkman also did justice to his good striking of the ball this season with a match winning 30 not out which saw us cruise to an easy win over HBS in the league after Tom set up the game with a well played 60. This after the bowlers led by Reinier Bijloos set up a very achievable run chase.

Individual performances are streaming in as we approach the bussiness end of the season. Winning games however consists of team performances where teams field as a close unit poaching on opportunities presented in the field. Batsmen and bowlers are to hunt in pairs where batsmen create fifty plus partnerships and bowlers building pressure where runs are hard to get by. These type of efforts by a team creates the necessary momentum that will generate positive outcomes.

We are still in pursuit of consistent team performances but we are closer now than ever. The boys are working hard and are absorbing a lot over a short period. Fortunately, we are a close unit and we are all well aware of where we are and what we need to do to maintain our growth as a team.

The support of all is necessary not just during winning times but more during times when we stumble. I thank those who have stood by the team during such times.
